Six Takeaways: Atlanta Adidas MDC

  1. 2022 wing/forward Jalen Carruth (Pictured) provided a huge impact for the Atlanta Celtics with his energy and shot making and was a huge reason for their championship weekend. He has really found his niche and it is paying off for him big time. With the motor running high, good size and length, great athleticism, and the ability to knock down perimeter jumpers, he has been impressive this spring.

  2. Game Elite 2022 guard Seth Hubbard had a very good showing on the weekend and has really been trending upward over the past few weeks. He's very athletic and a true three level scorer. College coaches will want to track him over the next few weeks.

  3. CP25 AL/MS has a fun group of 2022 players and they can really go. Jaborri McGhee & Tremaine Dixon are two big time standouts for them that love to get up and down and score the ball in bunches. McGhee was one of the top overall performers from the event, scoring the ball well and showing strength and athleticism.

  4. The Atlanta Celtics 15U group will be a team that is a nightmare of a matchup for any opponent. They have great size with Micah Smith & Jayden Williams and guards like Amari Brown that can really create and score. They cruised to the 15U championship and won big all weekend.

  5. Southeast Elite 2022 wing/forward Ven-Allen Lubin was one of, if not the, top performer in the 17U division. The strongly-built 6-foot-6 wing is an inside out guy that does a little of everything. He finishes well with dunks around the rim, can score it from every level, and rebounds the ball at an extremely high level. He's been a national stock riser this travel season.

  6. Game Elite 2023 guard London Johnson has performed very well over the course of the spring, proving that he has a very complete offensive game and is one of the better complete point guards that Georgia has to offer. He led Game Elite to the 16U championship this weekend.
