RYZE Tip Off Classic 16U Top Performers Pt. 1


Richard Rojas, Drill Academy (Pictured)

Rojas ended the weekend as the leader of the 16U division in scoring. He was in attack mode all weekend, aggressively looking for his offense and getting to the rim at will. He showed great burst off the dribble and creative & strong finishing ability around the rim and in the paint. He averaged 26 points per game on the weekend, going over the 20-point mark in every game.


Rakease Passmore, Garner Road 3SSB

Passmore is one part of Garner Road's fantastic trio in the backcourt. He's got great size and physical tools and is very versatile and a total matchup problem. He attacked well off the dribble and was very tough to keep out of the paint. He ended the weekend with his best performance, going for 23 points in the 16U Platinum championship game. His overall game will make him a name you hear a lot from in NC in the coming months.


Michael Carpenter, Norcross Heat 2025

Carpenter is a floor general that plays ahead of his years. He plays with poise and always plays at his own speed. He makes great decisions with the ball in his hands and is very capable both scoring the ball himself and creating for teammates. He was also one of the best 3-point shooters in the 16U division, connecting on 15 threes on the weekend. He went for 29 big points in the 16U Gold Championship, saving his best performance for last.


Cam Parada, AC Georgia

Parada was fourth in the 16U division in scoring, at over 17 points per game. He's incredibly skilled and is a sniper from three, averaging four three-point makes per game. He has a high IQ, plays with toughness, and makes great reads with the ball in his hands. He's a notable name in 2024 out in Augusta and his skill level will make him a player to watch for this spring and summer.


Jax Abernathy, Atlanta All Stars

Abernathy is always consistently productive, and this weekend was no different, scoring in double figures in every game. He's a great finisher in the paint and in the midrange and always seems to score the ball with good efficiency. He plays with a high IQ, has a lot of toughness, and is a name to watch for in North Georgia in the 2023 class.
