Kate Harpring, Marist, Guard
The first girl to make an appearance in the RYZE Hoops weekly recaps is a future Tar Heel and one of the top-ranked prospects in the country in Kate Harpring. She recorded 38 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists in the rivalry win over St. Pius. She's just a natural playmaker and scorer and incredibly fun to watch.
Devin Hutcherson, Holy Innocents', Guard
The Belmont University signee was the best player on the floor in a road win vs The Lovett School. Hutcherson recorded a double-double as he led all scorers with 23 points and added 10 rebounds the Bears, but he also took the challenge of defending the opposing team's best offensive player, showing he provides value on both ends of the floor. Devin scored the ball well off the dribble, showed some toughness and strength as he finished some tough baskets at the rim, showed his athleticism with some big-time dunks, and capped his night off with coast-to-coast game-winning layup.
Jaden McCullough, Holy Innocents', Guard
Jaden showcased an all-around game in a road win vs The Lovett School. The 2028 guard scored 15 points, grabbed 7 rebounds, and dished out five assists and provided stability and organization during times of the game when his team needed. Jaden did a really good job breaking his initial defender down, getting paint touches, and creating for himself and others.
Amare James, Wheeler, Guard
One of two Clemson-bound hoopers featured this week, Amare James put on an impressive shooting display in a 30-point victory. James led all scorers with 21 points, scoring it from three, the mid-post, and at the basket. James' size and scoring versatility makes him a tough cover for defenders of any size.
Harris Reynolds, St. Pius, Guard
The Clemson-bound senior had one of the best performances our RYZE Hoops team has seen so far this year with 39 points, including a couple of monster dunks. Now up to 6-foot-5, Reynolds combines elite athleticism and playmaking ability. He's led St. Pius to an undefeated record at 23-0 and the Golden Lions look ready to make a deep run in the state playoffs coming up.
D'Marley Elliott, St. Pius, Forward
One of the top unsigned seniors in the Peach State, Elliott routinely records double-doubles for St. Pius this season. Case in point, he held down the paint with 12 points and 10 rebounds in the win over Marist. Along with his stat line, his physical presence at 6-foot-6 with a strong frame and athleticism makes an impact.
Jay Walsh, Marist, Forward
The game got away from Marist late against St. Pius, but early on Walsh came out on fire with the first eight points. He's a bouncy 6'6 forward with the ability to play in the paint and out on the perimeter. He hit some mid-range jumpers and had some impressive finishes in the paint.
