AJ Williams, Eagle's Landing Christian, Guard
Currently the No. 1 ranked player nationally in the 2028 class, it doesn't take long to see why national scouts view Williams so highly. He's such a well-rounded player and had it all going in a close loss to Woodward on Monday night at the Dream Challenge. He's an effortless scorer, but his game goes well beyond that. His unselfishness and court vision led to several assists, he's active on the boards, and he'll also go up and block shots.
Woodward AcademY (Jarvis Hayes Jr., Bentley Lusakueno, Myles Hayes)
Our RYZE Hoops team has been watching Jarvis Hayes, Bentley Lusakueno, and Myles Hayes play together since early in middle school when they won championships playing together in our events. Fast forward to now and all three are nationally ranked prospects with scholarship offers from several top programs around the country. All three prospects shined on Monday night for Woodward in the win over Eagle's Landing Christian.
Brandon Pemberton, Parkview, Guard
Parkview lost in heartbreaking fashion on Thursday night against region rival Brookwood, but it wasn't due to any shortcomings from Brandon Pemberton. The 6'6 guard looked the part of one of the top prospects in a really talented 2027 class in Georgia. He finished with 24 points scoring from all three levels.
Zade Elshihabi, Westminster, Guard
Westminster worked its way to 17-2 record this season and a big part of that success has been the play of senior guard Zade Elshihabi. Against Centennial on Friday night, Elshihabi knocked down a few from three-point range, had some crafty finishes at the rim, and did his part to set up others. Look for Westminster to be a contender in the upcoming state playoffs.
Hillgrove High School (Bryson Jatta, Asa Montgomery)
Montgomery (2027) and Jatta (2028) form one of the better duos in the region for the Hillgrove Hawks. In a home win vs Campbell HS, the pair combined for 33 points (17 for Montgomery and 16 for Jatta) and 31 points (17 for Jatta and 14 for Montgomery) in a sold-out matchup against rival McEachern HS. Montgomery showcased his offensive versatility as he scored it from the post and perimeter, while also doing work on the glass. Jatta thrived in transition, turning defense to offense often but he also displayed shot making and an ability to play through contact when challenged at the rim.
Chase Lumpkin, McEachern High School, Guard
Lumpkin made his return from injury against cross-town rival Hillgrove and didn't miss a beat. The 6'5" 4-star guard put up an impressive stat line as he scored 26 points, grabbed 7 rebounds, and dished out 4 assists in front of a sold-out crowd.
