RYZE Five: RYZE Tip Off Classic

Ace Bailey, AOT

There were a lot of eyes on Bailey this weekend, with huge crowds surrounding the court while he was on it. The five-star forward responded very well and made some incredibly difficult plays look easy along the way. He scored 30 points & 28 points in two games on Saturday and did it every way imaginable. He hits threes, makes shots in the midrange, and can get to spots anywhere on the court and convert. His status as a five-star recruit was certainly backed up this weekend.

CJ Brown, Game Elite

The response of the crowd when CJ Brown is on the floor gives the impression that he could be the next viral star in the Peach. He draws a ton of eyes wherever he goes and everyone is always on edge waiting for the next highlight. However aside from those highlight reel plays, he showed everything you want to see in a point guard prospect. He connected on shots from the perimeter, he got to the rim, he makes great reads and has a ton of court savvy, and his ability to guard the ball is very high level. He's going to have a huge spring.

Chase Tyler, Wood Elite

The last time we saw Chase Tyler on our stage, he was dropping a 40-ball at the Battle for Georgia. And this weekend he showed how good of a recruit he can be on the hardwood. He spent time playing both spots in the backcourt, and he was consistently productive whether it was scoring the ball himself, finding teammates for opportunities, hitting the glass, or causing havoc on defense, he stood out. Wood Elite showed they are going to be a very good team in the Peach this summer, and he is one of the many big reasons why.

Jett Montgomery, STARS Basketball Club

It's not the first time that we've seen Montgomery on our top overall performers, and we were excited to have him on our stage for the first time in 2023. He scored in double figures in every game, including a huge 29-point effort against Wood Elite. He had some huge runs and moments throughout the weekend and always showed how productive and tough he can be. He will have a lot of college programs with eyes on him this spring and rightfully so.

Rassell Young, Garner Road 3SSB

Young has all the makings of a very high level guard. While his physical abilities and measureables are very good, his skill level is what shined the most, which will translate as he continues to develop. He was one of the best shooters in the field and consistently made threes both off the dribble and off the catch. He scored the ball well in the halfcourt and made plays defensively to get into transition and get easy buckets. He's one to watch in North Carolina in the coming years.
