With non-Division I schools able to come out and watch games this fall, nobody has drawn more coaches to the gym than Hiram 2023 guard Jay Boyd. A number of schools have been in to check on him, including last Thursday, with Georgia College, Lincoln Memorial, and Georgia Southwestern in.
Boyd is one of the state's best two-way guards and he's shown that this fall with his play on both ends of the floor. He's scoring the ball from every level, playing both on and off the ball, and creating offense off the bounce. He's also taken the responsibility every night of guarding the opposing team's best backcourt player and guarding effectively.
Boyd has drawn offers and interest from a number of Division II & Low Major schools and certainly is a Division I caliber talent. He took a visit to Lander earlier in the week.
