Tony Delk
Owner/Founder - Tony Delk Basketball Academy
Tony Delk has was a highly decorated hooper during his time. In high school Delk was named Mr. Basketball in the state of Tennessee and was both Parade and McDonald's All-American selection. Delk would go on to play at the University of Kentucky under the legendary coach, Rick Pitino. He was a 2X First-Team All-SEC selection and in 1996 Delk won a national title, was named SEC Player of the Year, selected as a consensus first-team All-American, and was named Final Four Most Outstanding Player.
Today Tony owns the Tony Delk Basketball Academy (TDBA) which provides players an opportunity to receive skills training and/or participate in AAU basketball. He sat down to talk about the pre-game speech he gave to his players and what he hopes to provide to players who join in his organization.
