Peach State Weekend Lookahead: January 6-7

January 6th

Norcross vs. Peachtree Ridge

Two undefeated teams in Region 7-7A square off for the top spot in the region in one of Gwinnett County's best games on Friday. Norcross comes in very tested after a tough non-region schedule, led by their backcourt of Mari Jordan, Mier Panoam, & Bilal Abdur-Rahman. Senior wing Samarion Bond has been a big factor as their glue guy. Ridge is led by senior guard Khush Chauhan & sophomore guard Connor Teasley, who was featured in our 2025 stock risers.

Lovett vs. Pace Academy

The rivalry between these two Atlanta private schools has really heated up over the past few years, and Friday night should feature a fun environment. This one features a great backcourt matchup between Lovett junior PG & Michigan commit Christian Anderson Jr. and Pace Academy guards Eric Chatman and KJ Greene.

Archer vs. Parkview

Two of our stockrisers will go at it in this one between two teams in a very good Region 4-7A. Archer's Kahmare Holmes has had a great season and is joined in the backcourt by Elijah Davis & Darrian Joseph. Parkview is led by super sophomore Jacob Wilkins as well as junior guards Mike Matthews & Chasz Holmes. Expect a frantic pace and bring your hard hats for this one.

Campbell vs. Pebblebrook

These two teams have formed a solid region rivalry in recent history in south Cobb County. It's hard not to love the matchup between two versatile, tough hybrid forwards in this one. Pebblebrook wing/forward & Dayton commit Jaiun Simon has been great all season doing everything for the Falcons and will go toe-to-toe with Campbell's David Clark, who always brings big energy and a do-it-all style of his own.

Dutchtown vs. Jones County

An underrated matchup down on the southside features Dutchtown and Jones County. Jones County senior guard Jaylen Sanford is averaging over 20 ppg this season and is one of Georgia's better unsigned guards. Daethan Harris & Jayden Stanley also join him in a very productive backcourt. Dutchtown is led by senior Jeremiah Edwards and junior big man Matthew Hinton, who was featured in our 2024 stock risers.

January 7th

Kell vs. Grayson

One of Georgia's best in 5A takes on one of Georgia's best in 7A. Kell sits at an impressive 12-1 against very tough competition so far this season and have size and athleticism across the board anchored by Auburn commit Peyton Marshall in the middle. Grayson is led by junior guard Gicarri Harris, who is one of the Peach's better scorers. Sophomore big man Amir Taylor will be key in this one as well.

McDonough vs. Greenforest

There is a ton of dichotomy in this one with the guards and speed of McDonough taking on the size of Greenforest. The War Hawks are led by their backcourt of Da'Avion Thomas, Amon McDowell, & Keenan Gray with Avante Nichols providing production from the wing. Greenforest is anchored down low by seven footers Gai Chol, a Mississippi State commit, and DK Manyiel, headed to Georgia State. Senior guard Isaiah Lloyd has also had a terrific season.

South Gwinnett vs. Cedar grove

South Gwinnett has found a ton of success playing a hard-nosed, tough style that is tough for any team to play against, which has gotten them off to a 10-3 start. They are led by senior guards Jet Horne & Justin Redmond. Cedar Grove is also having a good season at 10-2 and feature one of the best freshmen in the state in Manny Greene.
