Peach State Preview: January 31

Wheeler vs. Osborne

These two teams have played some big time games over the past couple of years, and both teams are talented again this season. This one will feature one of the better player matchups of the season between point guards. USC commit Isaiah Collier is one of the headliners of Georgia's senior class, and Osborne combo guard Akai Fleming is one of Georgia's next great guards.

Chattahoochee vs. Kell

There is a big ceremony at Kell tonight with the retirement of Scoot Henderson's jersey, so the Longhorns will be fired up. They are one of the state's best teams and have been a buzzsaw running through opponents of late behind a number of Division I prospects. Chatthoochee is a talented group led by junior wing Cam James and sophomore guard Jaylen Edgerton.

Grayson vs. Archer

These two teams have created a solid rivalry over the past few seasons and this one will be a lot of fun. Archer will look to avenge an earlier loss to to Grayson on the road tonight led by stock rising 2024 guard Kahmare Holmes. Grayson has gotten great play from their frontcourt and sophomore big Amir Taylor in recent games and will look to remain tied atop Region 4-7A.

Madison County vs. Walnut Grove

This is a sleeper game out east of the city tonight. Madison County has a great group that sits at 20-2 on the season. Walnut Grove is a talented group with great size and can match up well here. Each team has a very good player in the sophomore class with Madison's Grant Smith and Walnut Grove's Marcus Smith.

Norcross vs. Peachtree Ridge

This rivalry stretches back to the opening of Peachtree Ridge more than 10 years ago and has seen a ton of talent on each side over the years. Ridge has been a good surprise squad this season and sophomore guard Connor Teasley has been a guy who's jumped on a lot of radars. Norcross is led by seniors Mari Jordan, Mier Panoam, Samarion Bond, and Bilal Abdur-Rahman.
