Best First Round Matchup
Kings Ridge vs. Social Circle: Both of these teams are contenders in 1A Division I and will play each other in the first round. Social Circle made it to the Final Four in A-Public last year and Kings Ridge finished runners up in A-Private. This will be a clash of styles and should be a very fun atmosphere as well.
Player to Watch
Khalon Hudson, Westside Augusta: Hudson was a huge part of Westside's state title run last year and will be hungry to add another trophy to his resume. He's tough as nails and one of the state's best rebounders and can score it from all over the floor.
Alfonzo Ross, Woodville Tompkins: Woodville Tompkins made it to the Final Four in 2A last season and could make another run again with a scorer like Ross. He's had big game after big game this season and should be a threat to put up some high totals in the postseason. He recently committed to USC Beaufort.

Athens Academy junior guard Kymel Williams is a notable guard in Georgia's 2024 class and he has an opportunity to continue making his name. He can score the ball at a high level as well as make plays off the bounce and distribute the ball well.
Christian Heritage was one of the best teams in 1A Division II and are a contender in the bracket as well. While Jax Abernathy is the primary guy for the Lions, Dontae Crowder could be the next guy up. The 2025 guard has a high ceiling and provides great versatility. He's a sleeper in Georgia's 2025 class.
Best Player Matchup
Columbia and Drew Charter is a very good matchup in the first round in 2A. Drew Charter won A-Public last season behind a great championship performance from Cedric Taylor. He's had a great junior season and will have to play big against Terrell Wright of Columbia, who has great size and length. This is one of the best team matchups in the first round as well.
Looking Forward
The bottom left quadrant of the 2A Bracket could produce a very good matchup in the Elite 8. Spencer won the 4A bracket last season behind guys like Tycen McDaniels and Tony Montgomery. They've also added Vasean Moody who can stretch the floor. They could potentially take on Providence Christian or North Cobb Christian, which would be a very good game with great player matchups.
Sleeper That Could Make Noise
Thomson is a very dangerous team in 2A as a 4 seed. They played in one of the classification's toughest regions out in the Augusta area and have the pieces to make a run with guards like Lavonta Ivery and Jahkiaus Jones. They take on Windsor Forest, who made it to Macon last season, in the first round.
