Breakdown
King's Ridge and Mount Pisgah have both been to Macon in the past two seasons and both teams are back and matched up against one another for a state title on Saturday.
King's Ridge were one of the favorites in 1A coming into the season, having been the state runners-up last year and almost pulling off a big upset against Greenforest. Despite some bumps in the road and being a four seed in the tournament, they have won road game after road game and are playing some of their best basketball of the season led by senior PG Isaac Martin and senior big man Micah Hoover as well as a surrounding cast that executes on the offensive end at a high level.
Mount Pisgah won the state championship two years ago in this classification. Even though this team is almost a completely different one, they have had a great year and run through the bracket led by sophomore PG Micah Tucker who is one of the best players in Georgia's 2025 class. Grant Randall, Max Tucker, and Tyson Pittman have all also had big moments in the postseason as well.
