GBCA Live Team Camp Top Performers Pt. 1

The first live period in close to two years has come and gone, with college coaches from all different levels coming to the LakePoint Champions Center to see high school teams from across Georgia and the southeast to get their first in-person look at the teams and players. Here are some top performers:

AJ Brown, Orlando Christian Prep (FL) (Pictured)

Overall, Brown was among the best perimeter scorers on the weekend and shot the ball very consistently against high level competition. He also showed the ability to put the ball on the floor for pull up jumpers or penetrating all the way to the rim and finishing. He's added an offer from VCU with his play from the weekend to add to a number of other offers including Penn State, Penn, Yale, Drake, Ohio, Buffalo, and Temple.

London Johnson, Norcross

The Norcross 2023 floor general did what we've become accustomed to over the course of the past year and ended the weekend as one of the best playmakers on the weekend. He scored the ball well from every level and makes great reads in ball screen situations. He has great poise and all of the offensive skills that you like to see from a lead guard, and the offers have come pouring in as NC State, VCU, Clemson, Appalachian State, and Auburn have all offered in the last week.

TJ Clark, Newton

Clark's toughness, motor, and ability to score and make shots on the offensive end had a number of mid major and low major coaches asking about him on the sideline this weekend. He consistently brings the energy and is always a guy that can create a spark for Newton when they need one. He added offers from Jacksonville, Charleston Southern, and Coastal Carolina in the past week, and his name should continue to be a popular one among college programs.

JC Curry, Hart County

Curry was consistent scoring the ball all weekend, and his physicality and knack for always being around the ball and in the right spots showed up huge this weekend. He's a very good athlete and showed his explosion in the open court as well as his ability to get to the rim and finish through contact. He added offers from Voorhees and Life during the weekend and had a number of other programs from a variety of levels talking about him.

Anthony Arrington, Galloway School

Overall, Arrington was one of the most talked-about prospects in the gym this weekend, and for good reason. He scored the ball really well from all levels of the floor, he rebounded at a high level, and he brought the energy as he always does. He's added offers from Mercer, Wofford, and Eastern Michigan in June, and expect that list to continue to grow as he impressed a number of college coaches on the weekend.
