The Freebandz Celtics came into the 15U Championship game of the LakePoint LIVE Showcase on the heels of a second-half comeback win in the semifinals over Game Elite.
2023 point guard Austen Colton led that semifinals comeback, and he picked up exactly where he left off in the championship game against Atlanta Xpress.
With the help of wing Mari Jordan, Freebandz was able to jump out to a close lead at halftime. However, the second half saw Colton take over the game, scoring 21 second half points to pull Freebandz away and capture the 15U Championship 81-70.
Colten finished with 29 points in the game with Mari Jordan adding 25 points as well.
Atlanta Xpress was led by Stephon Castle in the loss, as they were all weekend long. Castle finished with 19 points and ended the weekend as one of the top standouts in the 15U Division.
