Gilmer 2025 forward Jackson McVey has gained a lot of attention in the calendar year with his combination of size, mobility, and skillset and he showed all of that and more at the RYZE Fall League, and, for good reason, was one of the toughest matchups for any team this fall.
At 7-feet tall and with good mobility and athleticism, he has the ability to be productive in the paint with his soft touch and finishing ability, but also has the ability to stretch the floor and hit shots in the midrange and from three as well as put the ball on the floor for one-dribble pull ups as well. He is also a factor on the glass on both ends and can act as a rim protector defensively.
He has Division I offers from Kennesaw State and Western Carolina and a ton of Division I interest from a number of high level programs. Don't be surprised if you see some college coaches make their way up to North Georgia for a Gilmer game this season.
