Exposure Breakout: Saturday Notes

The Exposure Breakout features some of the best Adidas 3SSB teams from across the southeast and the nation. The second day of the event featured some high level play from some notable names nationally as well as good performances from players trying to make their name. Here are some notes from Saturday:

  • There aren't too many guys hotter than Team Forrest 2023 6-foot-11 center DK Manyiel (Pictured). Fresh off of offers from Old Dominion, UAB, and Vanderbilt, he turned in maybe his best performance of the spring so far on Saturday morning. He was scoring at a highly efficient clip, dominating the glass, and blocking and altering any shot that came remotely near him. He has been one of Georgia's biggest eye-openers this spring.

  • Dream Vision had a great early morning win against Game Elite. Four-star point guard Milos Uzan out of Prolific Prep (CA) was fantastic as a true two-way player. Offensively, he knocked down shots from three and created off the bounce. He also shined as an on-ball defender, using his 6-foot-4 frame to shut down driving lanes and create turnovers. He was one of the best performers on the day.

  • WACG wing Chris Livingston has easily been the best player that I've seen this weekend. The Ohio product has the best physical gifts imaginable for a wing. He's a very long and well-built 6-foot-7 and it gives him such a huge advantage. He is nearly unstoppable off the bounce and can get into the paint and to the rim whenever he wants. He can also knock down shots from three. He's a very well-rounded prospect and the five-star status is very warranted.

  • Garner Road wing Randi Ovalle has been one of the best shooters of the weekend. He has a great stroke from three and can do it off the catch and off the dribble. At 6-foot-7 with versatility and the ability to shoot the ball like he can, he will be a highly sought after player in the coming months.

  • I have really appreciated the way that Atlanta Celtics 2022 forward/wing D'Ante Bass has played this travel season. His activity level has increased and he has learned how he can be at his most effective. His versatility on both ends has been very apparent and this is the best version of him that we have seen so far. His is on a very good trajectory with his increased work rate and development on the offensive side.

  • Atlanta Celtics 2024 guard Mike Matthews had another really good showing in a win over Game Elite. There's not much flash to him, but he's one of the most effective and efficient players I've seen in Georgia's 2024 class. He shoots the ball really well from the perimeter and can create for himself off the dribble as well.

  • I was highly impressed with EAB 2022 wing Trent McNair in their win over Utah Prospects. He's got good size on the wing at 6-foot-4 and is a do-everything type of player. He can score it from every level, he rebounds his position, and he is very solid and versatile on the defensive side.
