Coach Cyp's Standouts: Hillgrove Summer Play Day

Cowyn Glass

2025 Hillgrove guard Cowyn Glass did a good job of controlling the tempo and organizing in the half court. Glass also showcased his shot making ability off the catch and off the dribble by knocking down a few shots from three point range. He also proved to be a pesky on-ball defender.

Marquise Leslie

2026 wing Marquise Leslie of Alexander HS has a high ceiling and showed flashes of potential throughout the day. At 6’7”, Leslie already has a fluid jumper with a high release and soft touch. He handles the ball well enough to create for himself and had a few nice finishes around the basket. His size and mobility give him the ability to defend multiple positions

Torian Greene

Alexander HS guard Torian Greene had some of the more exciting moments of the day. The 6’2” Greene was a defensive nightmare both on and off the ball. He’s got long arms, good athleticism, and some good lateral quickness. Greene turned defense into instant offense a few times when he pick-pocketed a few guards which turned into fast break dunks. Offensively Greene got two feet in the paint constantly, showed touch on his floater which each hand, and was a willing passer.
