The Alexander HS Cougars are Final 4 bound after a dominating second half propelled them to a home win over Decatur HS. Decatur delivered the first blow early in the first quarter as they got off to a 9-2 lead, but Greg Dunson provided the scoring, and Aiden Allaire provided the energy to get the Cougars settled and back into the game. From the middle of the first quarter until the middle of the second quarter the game was back and forth, showcasing shot making and playmaking from both teams but Alexander's depth became a factor as they took a 37-30 lead into the half. The second half is where the Cougars began to take control. The constant full court pressure combined with efficient offensive execution slowly wore down the Bulldogs. In front of a packed house, the Cougars earned a trip to the Final 4.
