Season Preview:
Pace Academy is coming off of yet another state championship and will be looking to add more hardware to the trophy case this season, returning most of their production and key players. The Knights backcourt leads the show with two tough, sound guards in UCF commit KJ Greene and junior guard Eric Chatfield. These two complement each other very well and both have the ability to play on or off the ball and play with a ton of toughness and savvy on both ends of the floor.
While the Knights do not have a key true prototypical frontcourt presence, the players who occupy the wings have a ton of size, length, and versatility giving them a great mix of players who have a wide range of abilities. Combo forward Chandler Bing came on really strong down the stretch last season and could be a big time breakout guy as a junior this season. Senior LJ Moore joins him on the wing, and he is one of the most versatile players in the Peach and always brings high energy and a do-it-all style. Sophomore MJ Madison will give the Knights additional size and length at 6-foot-7 and has the skill level to provide solid production as well.
The Knights will be one of the favorites in AAAA this season; however the classification should be one of the tougher divisions in the state and the road will not come easy.
