2021 Spotlight: Myles Rice

With the travel season on hold and no opportunity for prospects entering their final year of high school to play in front of college coaches to earn scholarships, LakePoint Hoops wants to put the spotlight on the Class of 2021. Each day over the next few weeks we will be profiling a top prospect in Georgia in hopes of helping prospects generate buzz with college coaches.

Up next in the LakePoint Hoops Class of 2021 Spotlight Series…

Myles Rice

Position: Combo Guard

Height: 6’2”

High School: Eastside

Travel Team: Atlanta Celtics

Scholarship Offers: Georgia State

Scouting Report: Rice is combo guard who can score the ball at a very high level. He has good size at 6-foot-2 and is not afraid to use it and play with physicality. He is a true three-level scorer and gets a large majority of his shots off the dribble and creating for himself. He is a good jump shooter off the bounce and can be a very crafty finisher in the paint. He makes good reads off of ball screens and, though he is more primarily a scorer, can find open teammates and set up opportunities for others as well. Overall, he is one of the better scoring guards that Georgia has its 2021 class and he is a very instinctual bucket getter. He should be a name that you hear more often through the end of the calendar year.
