2021 Spotlight: Elijah Tucker

With the travel season on hold and no opportunity for prospects entering their final year of high school to play in front of college coaches to earn scholarships, LakePoint Hoops wants to put the spotlight on the Class of 2021. Each day over the next few weeks we will be profiling a top prospect in Georgia in hopes of helping prospects generate buzz with college coaches.

Up next in the LakePoint Hoops Class of 2021 Spotlight Series…

Elijah Tucker

Position: Forward

Height: 6’7

High School: Cherokee

Travel Team: Georgia Stars

Scholarship Offers: Georgia Tech, Iowa, Middle Tennessee, Richmond, St. John’s, VCU and Xavier

Scouting Report: Tucker started to emerge as a high-major prospect last summer during travel season with Game Elite and carried it into a great junior season at Cherokee where he routinely posted double-doubles in points and rebounds. He’s extended his range to becoming a more confident shooter from three-point range and he’s also comfortable handling the ball on the perimeter. For Cherokee, he spends more time playing on the block and has developed as a scorer there as well. We think Tucker is headed for a big travel season with the Georgia Stars whenever basketball resumes.
